Stem cells are already being used to treat more than 70 medical conditions with good results, and the list of potential medical applications of stem cells is growing tremendously fast.

Amniotic fluid cells contain stem cells that have unique potential to develop into variety of different tissues and can be potentially utilized in tissue regeneration, organ transplantation, and genetic cell therapy. There are multiple on-going clinical research and development projects worldwide with such types of cells.

Stem cells are currently used for a variety of medical conditions, and new applications are being discovered rapidly. Although there is no guarantee that the FDA will approve any future medical applications and banking of amniotic fluid does not guarantee that these cells will be applicable to a particular medical condition, preserving amniotic fluid stem cells offer great hope for the future.
