Biocell Center is the first company to offer a cryopreservation service of stem cells collected from amniotic fluid and chorionic villi. For a long time this biological heritage has been ignored since its great and high potential was unknown, but today, thanks to Biocell Center's technologies, it is possible to cryopreserve this extremely important heritage, which in the future may be used to cure various diseases.

In fact, as a result of research carried out by Biocell Center and by various international teams, we can confirm with certainty that stem cells recovered from amniotic fluid and chorionic villi are pluripotent, have a high regenerative potential and besides, a great capacity for differentiation and proliferation. They are thus able to differentiate themselves into cartilage, bone, haemopoietic, nerve and adipose tissues.

Further, stem cells from amniotic fluid and chorionic villi carry no ethical implications as much as the embryo is absolutely not involved and there is no need to make decisions about donation and preservation for autologous use. Also, in stem cells from amniotic fluid and chorionic villi, there is high compatibility between the donor and the closest relatives (in one case in four).
